Aaaw, do I hafta?

I've just spent the past week doing a minimum amount of work, and I have to say that i've really been enjoying myself. Walking my dog, visiting friends and watching some DVDs that I got for Christmas (anyone else love the show Northern Exposure? it is one of my favorites from the 90s).

In fact i've been enjoying myself so much that a part of me is whining about having to get back to work next week.... do I hafta? But I don't wanna! LOL

So it occured to me in a conversation today with my bud and biz partner Andrea, who is also enjoying the time off this holiday season... what if we didn't have to work so darn hard in 2006?

What would that look like? What would that mean for our lives and business in 2006? Especially with mini-me arriving this spring... im sure our new baby will put a shift in my worklife priorities regardless of my plans.

How would we do this? I'm not totally sure on the answer, but it feels more like a mind shift than anything else... maybe quit trying to work so darn hard?

So that is my intention for 2006... to continue doing the work I love, with the people I love, to grow our business and to *not* work so darn hard in the process. Hmmm, sounds like fun to me.

You will have to excuse me now, I hear Dr. Joel Fleischman calling me to turn on the ole DVD player.
