An exercise in consideration here on a Monday afternoon…

We’ve all daydreamed about what we would do with a million dollars on a personal level. Buy a new house. Go on a big trip. Pay off some bills. Heck, we would just have loads of fun yes? (Can’t help but hum this tune as I think of this, hehe.)

Let me ask you – if you had a million dollars that had to be strictly spent within your business, what would you spend it on?

Many business owners would love to reach a million dollars of annual revenue – it’s almost the ‘holy grail’ of business milestones.

However not everyone gets there… and there are of course a myriad of reasons for this but it occurs to me that part of the issue is this:

As a business owner, you may not know what you would do with a million dollars!!

I’m reminded of something that T. Harv Eker shares in the Millionaire Mind Intensive that I took a number of years back. I’m paraphrasing here but it was something along the lines of:

Think of a little kid with an ice cream cone. They really want to have lots of scoops of ice cream on their cone, but you know that if you give them more than one scoop they’ll drop it – they just aren’t ready for more than one scoop.

Same thing applies to money – the universe won’t give you more money until you are ready for it.

Are you ready for a million dollar year in your business? Are you clear as to what you would actually do with that money? How would you spend or invest this money? What impact would you make via your business as a result of this money?

I’m a big believer in the Law of Attraction – I certainly don’t claim to be an expert by any means but have seen the power of this applied in my own life and business over the years. And part of this process is getting really clear on what it is that you want… connecting with the ‘reality’ of what it is that you want.

I daresay, if you want to make a million dollars in your business – you need to first be very clear on what you would do with it!

If you aren’t clear, chances are the universe will consider you ‘not ready for those extra scoops’ and you may find yourself stuck on the journey.
