When you train and certify OBM’s, it is a risk (and reward) to have your name associated with their business. Having said that, even though someone has shown the knowledge, skills and abilities to be an OBM and has passed the certification test, and you have given them your “blessing”, it is at that point their integrity takes over. You (and we who see the certification) know they CAN do it. But — WILL THEY do it — is up to them. I don’t think it will reflect negatively on you. Every time some attorney or executive gets in trouble, we don’t blame the school where they received their degree. Hope this helps you feel good about turning your class loose on the world! The world knows they CAN. They have to show the world they WILL.
That’s totally the same conclusion i made re: this janice – back when i decided to go for it. and love your comment re: they CAN and have to demonstrate that they WILL. great definition of certification.
